The southernmost point in the USA

All that shimmers is olivine, an olive-green mineral produced by Kilauea

   Can you see the olivine?

Here I have..

Removed invasive plants from ancient Hawaiian fish ponds in Kiholo
Walked on the Kilauea crater floor and seen it glow at night
And counted humpback whales and recorded their behavior (i.e. how many times they breach, spout, dive, and slap the water with their tail or pectoral fins every half hour) for NOAA

Atop Mauna Kea, where the natural Hawaiian ice is

Yes, that's snow! Since this time, 2-3 foot snow drifts have closed access roads to the top and friends have ridden snowboards and boogie boards down parts of Mauna Kea!!

Blessed with Enchanting Sunsets

Hiking near the "End of the World"

      Sunset at Turtle Beach
One of 14 honus at Kaloko-Honokohau

To Aloha

     Under a Heliotrope Tree
